Chester Polish Constitution Day

On Wednesday, May 4, 2005, members of the Polish American community of Chester and Delaware County gathered at Chester's Historical Courthouse to celebrate the 214th Anniversary of Poland's May 3rd, Constitution. The event is sponsored annually by the United Council of Polish Societies from Chester, PA.

Maria Koleda, president of St. Adalbert Polish Language School and a well known member of Polonia, was the guest speaker for the event. Mrs. Koleda spoke about the authors of Poland's historic constitution and how important Poland has been in world history.

Michael Blichasz attended the event and offered best wishes to Delaware County’s Polonia and complimented Jan Szymczyk, President of the United Council of Polish Societies, Judy Kuchinski, Mistress of Ceremonies, David Chominski, District Vice President of the Polish American Congress of Delaware County, representatives of St. Hedwig Church and the Polonia of Delaware County for an outstanding program and their traditional Polish hospitality.

During the program Mr. Bobby Klecko was recognized for his assisting the community at St. Hedwig's Church in Chester, Pennsylvania for thirty years as St. Hedwig's artistic director for holidays and special occasions.
