Celebrating Polish Christmas with Sw. Mikolaj (St. Nicholas)

The Saturday, December 13th Polish Christmas Open House at the Polish American Cultural Center Museum, 308 Walnut Street, in historic Philadelphia, welcomed hundreds of visitors of all ages. They enjoyed a Magic Show, a visit by St. Nicholas, who is known to the Polish people as Sw. Mikolaj. Children from St. Adalbert Polish Language School sang Polish Christmas carols, took pictures with Sw. Mikolaj and received a traditional Polish treat of gingerbread cookies and a candy cane, just as he has done in Poland for hundreds of years.
