You’re Invited to Join The Philadelphia Area Pulaski Observance Celebrations

Sunday, October 1, 2017, Tune in to the Weekly Mass at 5:30 A.M. on WPVI-TV6 ABC, Fr. Karol Jarzabek, O.S.P.P.E., Director of Our Lady of Czestochowa Polish Language School in Doylestown, PA, will celebrate this mass to mark the beginning of Polish American Heritage Month.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Choir, under the direction of Evelyn Walsh, will sing during the Mass.

Mark Your Calendar and Plan to Attend the 84th Pulaski Day Parade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

On Sunday, October 1, 2017, the 84th Annual Pulaski Day Parade steps off at 12 Noon from the Parkway in center city Philadelphia and will be televised on WPVI TV-6 ABC.
The parade marches down the Parkway to 16th Street, turns and marches up the Parkway to the reviewing stands at Logan Circle at 19th Street. Live television coverage on WPVI TV 6 ABC begins at 12:30 PM. This year the Pulaski Day Parade will highlight “The Year of Kosciuszko”, an International Celebration Marking the Life and Accomplishments of a Hero of Both Poland and America. The parade will also celebrate the history, culture and pride cherished by the Polish American community. During the 2017 Pulaski Day Parade, we will also mark the 409th Anniversary of the First Polish Settlers in America. A complete schedule of events will be listed in the next edition of the Polish American News, announced during the daily Polish American Radio Program and listed on PulaskiDayParade.com.

Dr. Teresa G. Wojcik
The Pulaski Day Parade Committee is honored to have Dr. Teresa G. Wojcik as the Grand Marshal of the 2017 Pulaski Day Parade.

Dr. Wojcik is an Associate Professor of Education (tenured) in the Department of Education and Counseling at Villanova University. She is also an Assistant Director of the Teaching English in Poland summer camp program through the Kosciuszko Foundation, as well as co-chairperson of the Polish American Festival at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa and has served as President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Kosciuszko Foundation for 13 years. Teresa was selected by the Polish American Congress in recognition of her many years of participation with the Polish American Congress, Eastern PA District, the Pulaski Day Parade in Philadelphia and supporter of organizations in Polonia.

Teresa will lead the Pulaski Day Parade in Center City Philadelphia on Sunday, October 1, which is one of the many events in the Philadelphia area held in recognition of the National Celebration of Polish American Heritage Month.

Once again, the officers and members of the Polish American Congress, Eastern PA District, along with the entire Polonia, offer their congratulations to Dr. Teresa G. Wojcik, Philadelphia’s 2017 Pulaski Day Parade Grand Marshal.
