CNN Commended For Its Program,
“Warsaw Rising: The Forgotten Soldiers of World War II”

In June, CNN aired “Warsaw Rising”, the first major media documentary about the tragic 1944 revolt of Polish civilians in Warsaw against their Nazi occupiers. The broadcast detailed the 63 days of fighting that left 200,000 citizens dead and Warsaw ready to be handed over to the Soviets.

On Sunday, August 1, 2004, CNN again aired the Warsaw Uprising Documentary on the exact day of the 60th Anniversary of this event.

You can write or call CNN to commend their initiative and expertise in bringing this important, yet little- known part of Polish history to a global public. A strong showing of support and thanks for such programming will encourage more such programs in the future.
